Brazier = A pot where you heat stuff
Scouring = finding something
Pledge = a really strong promise
Rowdies = people that do stupid things
Putrefy = a smell from something rotten
Ressurected = Something that comes back to life, or gets fixed
Preposterous = something way out there or has nothing to do with anything

Ok, Daniel, but make sure martyred is spelled correctly. You don't want to learn it wrong to start with, then you may be stuck with the incorrect way for a long time. :-)
